Web Developer

Employment type: Contract on 1099 up to 40 hours per week.

Omega Airline Software, the leader in software for planning and scheduling aircraft maintenance, is looking for experienced web developers. Our Ames software has been the industry-leading, de facto standard for advanced planning and scheduling aircraft maintenance since 1991. Ames is a monolithic web application written in .NET Framework, backed by Microsoft SQL Server and served with IIS. Ames is provided in a single version to all airline customers.

The web developers at Omega start work on a contract/1099 basis with the possibility of moving into a full-time employment position. The position involves coding, testing, and debugging web-based applications that will be running on cloud servers. This position will depend heavily on experience in C# for back-end development and TypeScript and React for front-end development..

The work will include evolving Ames into a stateless cloud-native application. Part of the work will involve replacing legacy code and previous toolsets with the current coding plans.
