Long Range Planner
The first step in the process is the creation of the plan. The Long Range Planner (LRP) holds the business rules of the maintenance plan model. Using the event optimizer, LRP creates and maintains the maintenance schedule. Fleet Plan allows for the viewing and management of fleet availability based on the LRP schedule and other factors. Budget costs out the LRP schedule and allows for a high level cost comparison of multiple scenarios. Engine/Component Planning plans the maintenance and overhaul of engines and components on and off the aircraft based upon turn times, spare levels, lease agreements and other factors. It then integrates this schedule with the LRP schedule. Together, these modules create a complete, optimal, maintenance plan that fits within the maintenance organization’s business model. This plan is the production schedule.
